Intuition and spatial fluency are foundational in Shandele’s process. Using multi-sensory deep listening, Shandele partners with clients to create purposeful, meaningful and supportive spaces.
Shandele’s earliest inspiration comes from natural abundance. Her childhood home bordered a thriving apricot orchard shared by neighbors. A wide sparking creek meandered for miles, light dappled by an oak canopy and rope swings. Shandele’s grandfather lifted the lids off his prized minerals for her to inspect and wonder. Her father taught her to use the tools in his wood shop to carve and create.
Shandele graduated from Skidmore College with degrees in Art History + Studio Art and California College of the Arts with a degree in Design. Her early design career was guided by industry innovators in San Francisco, CA.
In 2004, Shandele and her children moved to Boulder, CO where she co-creates three dimensional spaces with architects and homeowners with reverence for the land.

We acknowledge with respect, that the land we are on today is the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute nations. This land was a place of trade, gathering, and healing for these tribes and other native tribes.
